Hi, I'm Kasey

I've been where you are now.

let's work together

Probably better for a blog post or perhaps a book! Haha! It’s full of ups and downs, twists and turns, dark and light, thick and thin. Movemeant has saved my life more than once, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I hope you will stick around and find out how movemeant can transform your life too, or rather, how you can transform your life with movemeant. Before we start working together, there are some things you should know about me.

My story of                                     is a long one...

transformation

I have struggled with weight issues my entire life. I have tried every fad diet known to man and probably belonged to every gym at some point. I know what it feels like to eat a whole pizza and a pint of ice cream and think nothing of it. I know what it is like to start and quit and re-start and quit a workout regimen week after week before you don’t even bother anymore.

I've been there.

I am similarly familiar with double days at the gym and extremely restrictive eating; I ate the same things for almost a year. This lifestyle is even less sustainable and arguably just as unhealthy. I reside somewhere in the middle now. While my current goal is weight loss, my ultimate goal is just to feel better in my body. Weight loss this time is a means to an end, not the end itself.

I can relate.

My biggest strength as a coach is that I can say

And it’s true.
I am ready to meet you where you are and guide you to wherever it is you want to go.

"I've been there."

I graduated law school in May 2010 and was admitted to both the California and Colorado Bars in 2010 and 2011, respectively. I practiced law for a few years before deciding it was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. While I enjoyed the intellectual stimulation and challenge in the legal field, ultimately being a practicing attorney was not good for my health or happiness. I originally pursued fitness for myself, then as a hobby and passion. As I became more and more unhappy in the legal field, I evaluated where I spent my free time; doing so lead me to a career in fitness and coaching, and a happier, healthier lifestyle.

I'm a recovering attorney.

I always dreamed of adventure, but I was officially bit by the travel bug in March of 2015 when I went to Cancun, Mexico for a fitness conference. Since then I have been to 16 countries (besides the United States), including: Mexico, Jamaica, Bahamas, Indonesia, Seychelle Islands, Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Italy, Vatican City, Greece, and Egypt. It is a goal of mine to get off continent at least once a year. I think exploration and downtime are a huge component of overall wellness.

I have a serious case of wanderlust.

I sometimes have pink hair. Yep, sometimes I have pink hair. I also have a younger sister named Haylee who is my BFF. I have a cat named Madison who is equal parts angel and goblin. I grew up in the SF Bay Area which is where I currently reside, but I lived in Orange County, California for close to 10 years. My favorite color is red, my favorite holiday is 4th of July, and my favorite season is summer. I prefer chocolate over vanilla, reading over watching TV, and cats over dogs. Yep, I said it.

A few more fun facts about me.
